About Us

Hi, I’m Kiana — a wife, mom, and follower of Jesus. My husband’s name is Shawn.

This space, The In Love Collection — Known & Held, was created during a season we never expected. We are choosing to walk through it with love, faith, and openness.

I had a joyful and uncomplicated pregnancy until our 20-week anatomy scan. The scan quickly turned into a whirlwind of emotions. It involved many medical appointments and lots of uncertainty. Our daughter, Gianna, was originally diagnosed with meningoencephalocele. She also had several brain abnormalities. These suggested that her life after birth — if she made it — could be measured in minutes or hours. As time has passed, more clarity has come. Her current proposed diagnosis is occipital encephalocele with ventriculomegaly. We continue to navigate this journey one step at a time.

This space exists for a few intentional reasons.
It’s a place to keep our family and friends informed. We can do this without needing to find the right words repeatedly.
It’s a place to process this season honestly with God — without rushing toward answers or pretending things are easy. It is a place to choose love despite uncertainty. We believe that peace is possible even when the path ahead isn’t clear.

At the heart of it all, I am clinging to the truth found only in Christ. He is the Creator of all things. He is faithful and loving. He knows and holds my husband, myself, and our daughter close in this season. We rest in the promise that we are fully known by God (Psalm 139:1) and we are never abandoned by Him (Matthew 28:20).

This space is for family and friends walking alongside us. It is for women navigating complex pregnancies or hard seasons. It is also for anyone who needs a quiet, faith-filled place to land. It is not a place for fear or speculation, but for presence, prayer, and hope — shared gently and honestly.
